How do you communicate with yourself?

It may surprise you to know that communication is not just about words.

Communication is 93% not spoken words. It is made up of your tone of communication, your physiology AND only 7% of your spoken words.

diagram1Look at the  chart and consider quickly your physiology represents 55%, tonality used 38% and words only 7% of your communication.

If, at this moment, you are sitting hunched up crouched over the PC with your head down, then stand up, raise your arms and deeply inhale several deep long breaths. Do you feel the same? NO! You cannot feel the same because your physiology will not allow you to feel the same. If you also consider that your physiology represents 55% of your communication (including unconscious communication to yourself and others) then you can easily understand how much your physiology effects your communication and state of mind.

You can change your state by changing your physiology and you can change your physiology by changing your state (of mind). For example, in any and all of the following, you are required to follow absolutely and completely the given process;
Computer programs
Technical instructions
Scientific formulae
Mathematical equations

And if you do, you will get the required specific outcome. It follows therefore that if you change just a single part of any of the above, small or significant, then you will produce a different result. You cannot create the exact same outcome. So, if you change just one small part of your life, say your physiology, you will see that you MUST get a different outcome. You cannot possibly get the same old outcome as before. Also, when you communicate directly with another person, you may incorrectly assume that you are contributing half to the exchange. One person expresses themselves, the other listens and responds (sometimes!).

However, it is NOT 50% your responsibility and 50% the other person’s.
It is 100% your responsibility to communicate effectively! And this includes, perhaps surprisingly, how you communicate with yourself!

Your internal self-talk, the voice that you talk to yourself with – and we all have one – follows the same patterns and rules as does communicating to another person.

Communication dissolves the illusions.
An illusion, when made from assumptions, is based upon a lack of real information, because the assumption is not actually real. It is merely imagined to be true. This is the base of most ‘fears’. We think about, consider, re-consider, analyse, internally debate and create stories about what MAY happen and talk to ourselves internally about all the posibble (usually negative!!!) scenarios and outcomes that MAY occur. Invariably they do not but we have been talking ourselves into various states of anxiety in the meantime and made this worse by using the least positive language and communication methods to ourselves throughout the process!

If you or the other person communicates the missing information, then the illusion dissolves and closure is made.
100% communication gives true understanding and dissolves the old illusion before a pathway/pattern is created from an underlying wrong assumption. It was created from incomplete information and possibly made worse if filtered through the fearful or anxious mind state.

Communication can be an issue at times to us all, but it is the best form of closure. It is an excellent way of increasing your percentage and clearing some mind space for manifesting new things, resolving conflicts and maybe repairing old friendships.
