If you ask yourself
“Why is my life so crap?” or
“Why does bad stuff always happen to me?” or
“Why am I so unlucky?”
You should be able to understand how and why these questions recall past results that have happened from past experiences. A ‘bad’ question gets a ‘bad’ image and response. Try it now.
When you frame your internal dialogue this way, not only are you repeating old patterns and reinforcing old programs, but you are actually sending your mind to collect all of those images and emotions that it (you) has associated previously with that question. It is all it can do because it is all it has to go on. This only serves to reinforce your beliefs with old stories, outcomes and conclusions and so the myth persists.
If, however, you choose to frame the question like,
“Why is my life so great?” or
“When was I happiest?” or
“What do I do best?”
Then the mind searches for images, feelings and pathways to answer THIS question. Hence, it brings happy, content, funny and rewarding images.
The same process applies for the positives as it does for the negatives by repeating the patterns and reinforcing the pathways.
So…. Why do you ask yourself stupid questions?
Rather ask; What would I like to receive? What shall I tune into or how do I feel now? If you are feeling negative you will be in effect of something outside of yourself. You are in fact feeling dis-empowered in some way. You are not taking responsibility, possibly by blaming someone or something outside of you and remember that this is always your choice!
Your reward will be found starting on the day that you decide for yourself what exactly you choose to tune into. All of the good stuff and opportunities that you choose to open up to. The world’s a wonderful place to be if you choose it to be so!
Think again about taking responsibility for being at cause and for tuning into only the good stuff so that the crappy stuff is deleted. Think about your energy. Just how much energy does it take to struggle through a miserable day and just how do you feel at the end of it. Are you energised or completely knackered?
Here’s the deal….
If you took full responsibility and did your best to ask better questions to create better images, then what kind of a day would you have? How energised would you feel and what would the external world be like?
If it is not your choice to decide what your emotions are and how they reflect your responses and behaviour, then who’s is it? Who or what exactly are you allowing to dis-empower you?
There is no need to beat yourself up. It will pass and when it does, congratulate yourself on how you have dealt with it. Each time you practice you will become more skilled and proficient. Take it one step at a time. If it takes 2 days rather than 5 days, congratulate yourself. If it takes minutes not hours, congratulate yourself. You are getting better and better.
Be aware of the external signs (behaviour) and internal signs (feelings and emotions), be responsible, have a laugh at yourself.
THINK – DO – BE . . . and repeat!
We all have a unique way of processing and experiencing our world
We do this in ways that we as individuals have been conditioned and programmed to process and experience it. How this information is processed and how then we project this into our view of the world directly influences how we experience it.
By understanding how the body/mind works and by developing more flexibility, balance and inner strength you can develop the ability to stay in a good state of mind for the majority of the time.Look at it like yoga for the brain. It should be your choice to have the life you would like to experience not the one you have been conditioned to experience.
In A Nutshell we provide you with the simplest, quickest and most practical solutions that you can apply in your own way, in your own time, in your own world. Our aim is simply to be as simple as we can possibly be, to allow you to choose whether to change or not and, if you do, how to do it if you wish.
