Vampire Killer

“Surround yourself with people who make you happy. People who make you laugh, who help you when you’re in need. People who genuinely care. They are the ones worth keeping in your life. Everyone else is just passing through.” – Anonymous

“Nosferatu coming to talk with you about his childhood.

The term “energy vampire” is popular these days. We’ve all encountered people who suck our energy and leave us dry. I’m hoping that, with a little help from a wise teacher and the Angels, this article will be of some benefit to you. The good news? You don’t have to wear any garlic around your neck.

In reflecting back over my past, I recall far too many times when I left someone’s presence to find myself feeling totally drained. I began to look at the reasons why with some people, this was so often their default way of being. Some folks are extremely needy. Some seem to have a constant, insatiable thirst for attention. Others seem to be completely oblivious to anyone and anything other than themselves. I quickly got tired of being around those with this kind of behavior. Do you have any vampires in your life? Fear not, help is on the way!

I’m going to share two processes with you. The first is from the ancient Hawaiian clan of shaman known as the Kahunas. Their tradition is known as Ho’oponopono. It’s a powerful means of healing and forgiveness. This is perhaps the most powerful prayer and blessing I’ve ever experienced.
I’ve seen broken relationships, financial crisis and illness healed completely.

It’s also one of the most effective ways to fend off those who would drain your energy. Ho’oponopono has a rich history. I’d like to share some of it with you.

There have been individuals who have taught a bit about it in the past, but the one responsible for sharing the teachings openly was the Kahuna shaman, Morrnah Simeona. In 1985, I had the good fortune to meet and study with Morrnah in New York City. Up until she began to spread these teachings, Ho’oponopono was intended to be used and taught only amongst the Kahunas. Morrnah realized that it was needed throughout the world. She simplified and modernized the process and began to teach “outsiders”. She said that some were so threatened by this that she received death threats. I fondly remember her simplicity, sweetness and strength.
I’m so grateful for the time I got to learn from her.

The process is often described as a “cleaning” or “clearing”. The theory is that there are cords of energy that connect us to every person, place and thing we encounter. Leading a happy and productive life is about having and maintaining good, healthy connections with all of life. Ho’oponopono is a process of cutting all cords that hold us to pain, trauma, negativity and fear of all kinds. It’s tremendously freeing.

Here’s the process. Silently say the following:

“I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.”

Seems really simple, right? Well, it is! Say this to yourself. Say it many times, over and over, until you start to feel “lighter” inside. Say this to forgive yourself for things you’ve done in your past that you still carry with you. Use it to release all sense of self-blame, beating up on yourself and anything you feel is holding you back in life. Keep saying it until you begin to feel it all lift from your consciousness. If you know someone who is an energy vampire, say it silently many, many times before you know you’re going to meet them. You can say this as you focus on any relationship with anyone, towards a job, financial or health situation. You can use this for literally anything.

The general way of working with this is to repeat it to yourself until you feel good with little or no anxiety. You’re looking for a sense of peace and well-being. You can also say it silently when you’re with such a person. Don’t be fooled by the apparent simplicity of this process. It can assist you in the breakthrough to miracles in your life.

I have used this prayer ever since meeting Morrnah all those years ago. I have seen so many miracles happen, for myself and others. I know it works. I encourage you to test it for yourself. I know you will have similar wonderful experiences to mine.

I promised you a second process. I always use this process that follows in conjunction with the Ho’oponopono prayer. Here we are going to call upon the assistance of Archangel Michael. He is most often depicted wearing armour and carrying a sword. He’s also depicted in many paintings and sculptures slaying the devil. Personally, I don’t believe his function is about protecting us from demons and devils. I do believe his is the power to help us to cut through our fears and negativity; all that holds us back. That’s what his sword is for.

If I am about to enter into a situation that could present some obstacles, I say a prayer to Michael, “Welcome Michael! Thank you for keeping me in health, happiness and abundance in this and all situations.” I then visualize him taking his sword and cutting all cords to all negativity. Next, I say the Ho’oponopono prayer until all feels balanced and light.

I trust this will be of great help to you, dear readers.

I would love to hear from you about your experiences and any subjects you’d like to see covered in future columns. Until next time, I wish you and yours many blessings.

  1. George, once again this is fascinating. I have not previously encountered this method. I am fortunate that I have managed to cut many vampires off in the past but will certainly do this too now. Thank you.
