Two decades of changing minds ….

In 2012 Glasgow Women’s Library (GWL) celebrated its 21st birthday. To mark two decades of life-changing work, GWcommissioned 21 internationally renowned artists and 21 published writers to create new works inspired by the library’s unique museum, archive and collections. 21 Revolutions, as it became known, went on to win the 2013 Arts & Business Scotland ‘Enterprising Museum of the Year’ Award for GWL.

Now, thanks to the pledges made via kickstarter, here, the resulting fine art prints, poems and creative writing are being brought together with the sources that inspired the work in a superb book. The publication is being launched at two events;

  • Saturday 8th March from 4pm to 6pm at Glasgow Women’s Library, Glasgow.
  • Contributing writers Murial Gray, Kirsty Logan, Zoe Stachan and Louise Welsh will be reading their works.
  • Friday 14th March 4pm to 6pm at Creative Scotland, Edinburgh.
  • Contributing artists and writers Nicky Bird, Karen Campbell and Elizabeth Reeder will be talking about and reading their works.

Places are limited.
