Linkedin have recently carried out a global survey researching how women are defining success. The answer came back loud and clear that what they are looking for is a work-life balance. The research project “What Women Want” involved 5,300 women across 13 countries and 63% said that they wanted to achieve a work-life balance. Interestingly five years ago a similar survey discovered that 56% defined success as having a “big paycheque”, down to 45% in this survey. And it seems that that women are still finding employers less than amenable to flexible, child-friendly working arrangements.
