Books for Christmas

DD-SampleCoverWe thought that we would bring your attention to some of the books that we have reviewed recently as they might just be what you are looking for, for christmas presents and stocking fillers.

We regularly review books from Roy Sheppard and this year he has produced two excellent books which have been highly acclaimed. Dear Daughter (review here) and Dear Son (review here). Furthermore, Roy has just come up with a new website where he will personally sign copies of the books to those who are given it for Christmas.  Great idea for young people who are not always easy to buy for!

Last month, we reviewed the Little Cookbook. You can see the review here.  All the money raised through selling the book is being donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

A couple of months ago we reviewed a lovely book by Simon Brown. Death of a butterfly is a heart-warming story of transformation and growth. (Review here).doab

We also have our Women on the Shelf series which showcases reviews by women who are involved in the Women’s Library in a variety of roles. You can see the books that are part of this series here . Again some great books which might just give you some ideas for those pesky christmas presents (only talking from personal experience of christmas shopping, I accept that not everyone feels the way I do!).

Suggestions have been brought to you by Anne Casey
